For the summer months of 2014, the England vs. India Test series cricket matchups will be on live TV and online for fans of the sport to enjoy worldwide. The two teams begin their clash in early to mid-July with their first Test, and then have four more to follow, with the matchups wrapping up in late August. A good number of the players from both squads could also be auditioning for a spot on the lineups heading into the tournament action of 2014. Let’s check out the upcoming live TV and online Test series schedules, as well as the latest odds for these two teams.
Starting on July 9th, 2014, the England vs. India 1st Test series will be played at Nottingham. The series will last until July 13th. Their 2nd Investec Test series begins on July 17th at the world famous Lord’s cricket grounds in London, with July 21st the last date of play. A 3rd Test series gets going on July 27th and finishes up on the 31st of the month with Southampton hosting it. Manchester is the site for the 4th Investec Test series which runs from August 7th through 11th, while the 5th Investec Test series goes from August 15th through 19th.
With the Test series, it will be the first time India has toured England for a five-match Test series since 1959. The last time India played a five-match Test series in England, they lost 5-0, and they also lost 4-0 in a four-match series in England back in 2011, so they’ll be looking for a much different result this summer. Captaining England will be Alastair Cook, while MS Dhoni will lead the Indian side in these matchups. To make things interesting, Cook has not scored a century mark for runs in his last 25 innings played. On the other hand, Dhoni has not won a Test on foreign soil in any of his last 13 matches he’s played.
