The 2016 Boston Marathon live TV and online coverage will once again be front and center as the city of Boston and state of Massachusetts celebrates one of the greatest traditions in American history. The Boston Marathon will air on various outlets the Monday, April 18th including nationally on NBC Sports Network. This great race got its first start back in 1897 and is the world’s oldest marathon known to man! The first race had a grand total of 18 contestants, which is hard to believe because nowadays up to 20-30,000 runners sign up for this great event.
While there are no real odds on the race, Las Vegas odds makers do list who they believe may win and over/under finish times.
The Boston Marathon covers 26 total miles over the course multiple roads and back streets. Starting in Hopkinson, It works its way down winding roads through Routes 135, 16 and 30 before turning towards the heart of the city street of Boston. While the runners are out doing their thing, the Boston Red Sox will be gearing up for an early morning start. The annual 11 a.m. start for the BoSox along with the Boston Marathon makes Patriots Day in Massachusetts one of the best days of the year!
The Red Sox will play the final game of a four game set vs. the Toronto Blue Jays on April 18. The game will air nationally on the MLB Network.
