INDY 500, Coca-Cola 600 Live TV, Online Preview, Odds & TV Start Times

With the live TV and online coverage of the the historic Indy 500 followed by the Coca-Cola 600, all race car fans will be waiting to hear this weekend is “Gentlemen, Start your engines!”  Sunday, May 24 is your chance to watch wall-to-wall racing from morning until night as the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500 is set to get underway Sunday afternoon, followed by the Coca Cola 600.

American Ryan Hunter-Reay looks to become the first repeat winner at this year’s Indy 500 since Helio Castroneves pulled off the feat back in 2002, however all eyes according to Vegas oddsmakers will be on Scott Dixon. Dixon will be in the poll position this afternoon at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway and is the favorite on most Vegas odds boards at 5/1 or 9/2 depending where you look.

Simon Pagenaud and Helio Castroneves round out the top 3 favorites at this year’s Indy 500. The race is scheduled to get underway at 12 noon EST and can be seen on ABC nationwide. Fans on the go can also watch the big race online via their PC, tablet, or cell phones on ABC.go.com.

The Charlotte Motor Speedway will be front and center Sunday evening as the world’s best will gather to compete in the longest race of the NASCAR season schedule. Last year Jimmie Johnson won the Coca Cola 600 in just over 4 hours time, claiming his forth CC 600 crown. Repeating as champion is a hard thing to do at the Coca Cola 600, but if anyone can do it, it’s Johnson.

Jimmie Johnson is the last driver to repeat at Charlotte when he won three years in a row back in 2003, ’04 and ’05. Before that Dale Earnhardt won back-to-back titles in 1992-93 and Jeff Gordon did as well in 1997-98. The Coca Cola 600 can be seen televised nationwide on FOX, with online coverage being carried on FOX Sports Go.
