Tonight’s the night! The 2017 NBA Finals are scheduled to begin this evening in sunny California when the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Golden State Warriors to determine this years NBA champion. If you think you have heard this story before – you have.
The Cavs and Warriors are meeting for a record third time in a row in the NBA Finals, with each team winning one title a piece. While both teams have won a championship over the past two seasons, one thing will remain the same for the third straight year, the Golden State Warriors will once again be a big favorite to win the title.

The Warriors are currently listed anywhere from -260 to -300 to take down the Cavaliers and win their second title in three years, but before you think this series will be a push over for the high-flying Warriors, just remember that no one team has defeated Golden State more in the past three years than the Cavaliers.
Why Cleveland is worth the bet
Eight out of ten NBA fans believe that Golden State will defeat the Cavaliers in the 2017 Finals, that’s why the money line on the series is so high. The Warriors are a machine. They have won an incredible 84% of their home games over the past two seasons. Curry, Durant, Green…the names go on and on. Here is the problem though if you are someone who wants to wager on the series – the price.
Cleveland is too good of a team to be listed at +220 or even +250 at some sports books. LeBron and the Cavs are playing there best basketball of the season, and they are healthy. No, I wouldn’t bet the farm on it, but Cleveland at over 2/1 dog odds is definitely worth the risk.
