The 2016 NCAA basketball conference tournaments are coming! Get ready hoops fans because all the live TV and online coverage of NCAA basketball is getting ready to begin. The conference tourneys are the prelude to the annual NCAA March Madness Tournament and a great chance for teams who are on the NCAA “bubble” to prove they deserve a shot at competing for this season championship.
The conference tournaments will run from March 1 through the 12th, depending on what conference you follow – and there are a lot of them!
Some of the bigger tournaments are the Big Ten, Big East, Atlantic 10, ACC and SEC. However don’t let that fool you when it comes to the big dance. Every conference has several teams that could run the table and win 6 straight games to capture an NCAA title. That is one of the best things about March Madness – any team really does have a shot at winning it all. Right now it is not about the NCAA March Madness tourney, it’s all about trying to out duel everyone in your own conference and capture not only bragging rights, but an automatic bid to the Big Dance!
Teams like Michigan State, Maryland and Kansas are shoe-ins for the tourney, however a great showing in their conference tournaments may land them a No. 1 seed. If you are a college hoops fan, this is your favorite time of the year! This years conference tournament games will be aired on several stations, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FOX and CBS.
Below is a glance at the NCAA conferences and the tournament dates, along with each station they will be airing on. Be sure to check back to Sports Odds Daily for the NCAA bracket and seedings in two weeks!
