NFL football is back! Okay, sorry that was just wishful thinking. However if you are in need of a football fix, the NFL combine live TV and online coverage will take place this weekend. Yes, from February 26-29 the top college and invited players will be showing off their skills in hopes to strengthen their positioning in the upcoming NFL Draft. Coverage for all the skill workouts will air on the NFL Network and NFL.com/combine, so if you are stuck at work, hopefully your boss is a football fan and will let you catch some of the action online!
The NFL Combine will once again be held in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts. Here is a quick breakdown. On Friday, February 26, coaches and trainers will be watching the running backs, offensive line players, place kickers, punters and special teams players. The action is set to begin at 9 a.m. and should wrap up around 4 p.m. The best part for fans if they can’t catch the action live or are waiting to see a particular player perform, the NFL Network will run a NFL Combine Wrap-Up Show each evening starting at 8 p.m.
Saturday will see more future players on the offensive side of the ball as the quarterbacks, receivers and tight ends will be showcased. Sunday and Monday’s combine will be all about defense, and we know how important a good defense is – just ask the Carolina Panthers. Sunday brings defensive linemen and linebackers to the table, while Monday will showcase a possible future Deion Sanders, TJ Ward or Darrelle Revis as the defensive backs will be on the workout clock.
Have no fear NFL fans, with only two months until the 2016 NFL Draft and five months until mini-camp, the start of the 2016 NFL season will be here before you know it.
