NHL Live TV, Online Coverage & Odds for Winter Classic 2015

The 2015 Winter Classic live TV and online coverage is scheduled to take place this Thursday, January 1st from Nationals Park in Washington when the Chicago Blackhawks take on the Washington Capitals. The Winter Classic has grown every year in popularity since it’s conception back in 2008, and this year should help the popularity increase as the Blackhawks and Capitals are two of the best team in the NHL so far this season.

If you are a hockey fan, you already know how special the Winter Classic is. However if you have never seen any of the January 1st games you really need to check it out. These games have a playoff feel to them to say the least.

The crowds are anywhere between 50-100,000 strong and the atmosphere is something to behold. Last year the Toronto Maple Leafs faced the Detroit Red Wings from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor in front of the biggest crowd (over 105,000) to ever watch a hockey game. This year’s game should be just as exciting as both the Blackhawks and Capitals are playing well so far. Chicago is currently in first place in the Western Conference’s Central division, while the Capitals are in third place of the Metropolitan division in the Eastern Conference.

Las Vegas odds makers have Chicago listed as -125 favorite with the over/under total set at 5. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET
